Spring is here! Spring is here! Spring is here!
Okay so maybe we are being overzealous and if the snow we received in the last day is any indication, spring has not sprung yet. However, we like to remain optimistic here at Save A Dollar and have high hopes that our friend’s sunshine and warmth make an appearance sometime soon. I think we speak for a lot of people when we say “please winter, go away we are no longer amused by your antics.” *Ahem* Now that we’ve banished the winter blues away, we would like to talk about some spring cleaning and one of our absolutely favorite go to products: Dr. Bronner's, multipurpose soaps!!
We can’t say enough about Dr. Bronner’s soap! This product comes in an array of scents none of which are hard on the upper respiratory system. These soaps are especially great to use for those that suffer with allergies and cannot use harsh chemicals. Dr. Bronner’s boasts a few wonderful benefits that we at Save A Dollar really value. Those benefits include:
The use of the purest organic & Fair-Trade ingredients. Fair Trade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect, that seeks greater equity in international trade. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers especially in the South.
Dr. Bronner’s also claims to not use synthetic preservatives, no detergents or foaming agents!
As you can see Dr. Bronner’s is doing wonderful things to ensure users are receiving the best quality product. When using Dr. Bronner’s we like to dilute it with water which stretches the product and thus saving money because we use less. The great thing about Dr. Bronner’s is that it can be used in almost every area of the home. No, we are not kidding! Dr. Bronner’s can be used to wash hair, do laundry, wash dishes, clean appliances and the list goes on. As a matter of fact, here is a solution we really enjoying using in our personal homes for the bathroom: Predilute 1:4 with water in a squirt bottle. Add ¼ tsp. tea tree oil. Empty toilet, squirt bowl thoroughly, sprinkle baking soda on the brush, scrub bowl, let sit 10 minutes, turn water on, flush. Dr. Bronner’s is a wonderful addition to any cleaning routine. So the next time you want to reach for those harsh chemicals that wreak havoc with your sinuses and breathing reach for a bottle of Dr. Bronner’s instead!
